Beautiful easel card for The Paper Shelter DT call.

Wow, that's all I can say about that card.
I absolutely in love with it.
The inspiration for this card was one of The Paper Shelter digital images. I really like cute images, and that's what this company offers.
After that I wanted to get back to coloring for while now. Unfortunately been on vacation I didn't have my Copic markers and the only once that I had available to me were TH Distress Markers.
People who do some coloring knows how hard it is to blend those... So I tried.

As you see on the first image face didn't come out right. Pure girl has very bad sunburn.
But second image came out so much better. A specially hair. Again we all know how hard it is to color a blond hair with Copics . But with assortment of TH Distress markers I think I got it. Looks so natural.
After that skin tone was a challenge, but I managed that one as well. Tip, sponge on some of the soft pink distress inks via TH for a base and than add a shade of markers. Love it!
Well turquoise color seems to be in fashion this season, and it happens to be one of my favorites, so I chose to go with that color for her pants.
Again blending is a challenge. But if you will lay down your marker it will give you much better stroke.
Now to the fun part, puppy. OMG, I absolutely love that one. No wonder that I have two of those in real life.... Ha- ha!
Now to the shape of this card. Because I am a sweetheart, never mind....
Love hearts and I hand drew the shape and used it as a template for all layers. Hm, layers?
Ok, base is turquoise textured 8,5 by 11 card stock folded in half.

Tip: when cutting the base for easel card leave the top part, the one that is on the fold smaller than top layer. Create a hinge affect.
And score on the top hinged layer
After that I did my prep job with decorative layers of papers: cutting to shape and size and distressing it. I used Haidi Swapp papers ( again if I am spelling it correctly).

And the most fun part in all of it is embellishing. Couple stamps, laces  and paper flowers from my store and we are Done.

Oh yes, do not forget to stickler everything, it does make a difference.

Hugs and kisses, Natasha
