Altered Topiary for Maggie's BD

Hello my friends,
today I am bringing you last project that I created for Maggie's BD
I purchased this topiary online a while ago and it's been burlap dictated all thyme for Maggie's BD gifts.
I started with creating a miniature dream world and I put inside everything that I wish Maggie to have in her life: swing, carousel horse, hearts, pearls, flowers and so much more...
Lets take a closer pick inside

Every home, dream or world starts with a gate - so I started it with the gate (half of it though), two gates were too much and I wanted this world have airy feel to it...
I wrapped tiny WOC rosettes and wave those through the fens that I attached to the gate...
I used scrap burlap threads to attach "Wonderful you" wooden heart to the spray painted fens...
And a hang a swing right above the fens using a burlap rope with ribbons and wooden plaque with word cherish

Swing is pinned to the top and can be removed if needed....
On the top right next to the swing I pinned beaded dragonfly applique and miniature birdhouse (from Michaels).
Lets take a look what is below...
ok dragonfly...
birdhouse..
Love that tiny wooden hanger it's so adorable and so goes well with this thyme...
I hang a straw hat and a tiny burlap banner.. yummy

and while I have you all the way on the bottom - right next to banner there is a bouquet of roses that are growing right from a spool of laces that was forgotten in the back yard....
Let's zoom out...
zoom out...Here you can see a wooden "dream come true" cross board that's garding the back of the yard..

So now we are moving along... And we are at the park of childhood now and we all loved carousel and wanted to ride a horse FOR SURE
I used mold from NSK (we'll be open in mid October) to create this beautiful horse and used sprays and stickles to color it. I mounted it on the paper straw that was reinforced with wooden scure. On top I added wooden pole light that was gifted to me and decorated it with Prima flowers.
Here is a closer look of this beautiful horse...
I wanted to mention how I decorated the pole of topiary. I took one of the old Prima sprays and wrapped it around the pole...

While I was wrapping it I attached metal spoon and wave spray around it as well...
On the bottom you can see some spreaded flowers ceramic and paper with large wood button and plastic bows. As well you can see a Prima bird nest with flying over it clear bird... You can find secord flying bird on the photo above (it is on its way home)...
I added pearls and butterfly on metal spoon
That's how it looks from upfront....

So we made our way all the way around...
But if that would been it.. It wouldn't be me (if you are following me for a while)... There is some more..
That's the topiary before.....                                                         And that's the topiary after....
Yes it bloomed....with WOC flowers that I pinned all the way around the top part of topiary....

The end....
Have a great day!
Hugs, Natasha

Our Worlds Mixed Media Art PL

Today I am coming to you with my first art mixed media painting...
In a million years wouldn't know that I will say that...
wow!
The name of this creation is OUR WORLDS... It is A4 cardstock of white paper with adhered magazine cut outs and some acrylic painting over it.
Originally I saw this on Ustream/YT of Dede Willingham and she named it My World. The point of it create your world, which is basically what is your artistic eye sees.
I wanted to create a gift for someone who introduced me to Dede's art, so that art should have both our interests on it. That's why the name of it os OUR Worlds.
I didn't record a process video because you probably should see the original artist on that. She is amazing, trust me!
So here few pictures of my prank art page
Please check the video, where I am explaining the point of this creation.
Thank you so much for your time. Have a wonderful day!
