Shabby Christmas in July -Zig Clean Color Watercolor Postcard

Hello, my friends,
Today I am bringing you another project from my series of "Shabby Christmas in July"
This time its a postcard
1. I started with a base of 4 by 6 watercolored cardstock.
2. Printed out Digital design of several images Magnolia Tilda, Xmas trees and postcard stamp with the postage

3. Watercolored images using Zig Clean Color Watercolor Markers - love those markers. Be aware that these markers do not have many pastel shades in it and colors are bright.

4. I sprayed the background, covering main colored image with the Lindy's Gang sprays. Guess what... Should have left only one layer, but by adding the second layer it intensified colors and took away from my soft pastel look that I was going for... So less is more in this case... Or at list try it 1st on the sampler
So I had to come up with a solution on how to soften those bright colors... And I did...
I took a vallum frosted paper embossed it on the edges using the "Polka Dot" embossing folder, creating a look of falling snow and attached embossed layer on top of my watercolored postcard.
That softened by "bright mistake" right the way
Attaching vellum paper can be tricky, BCS it's somewhat transparent. So I used a washi tape
5. I decided that simple look of the frosted postcard isn't enough - so I decorated it further using snowflake stickers and die cut pieces from prima "Santa Baby" collection
Added some heart jingle bells on the mittens from NSK and now postcard had a finished look
Hope you liked my Shabby Chic Xmas postcard...
Stay tuned for more projects from this series...
 Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha

Shabby Christmas in July Mail Art Swap by NSK & Friends

Hello, my friends,
Today I would like to share with you a bundle of projects that were created for "Shabby Christmas in July Mail Art" one on one swap hosted by closed FB group "NSK & Friends"
I decided to challenge myself and do watercolor... Never done it before...
I wouldn't call my project a 100% success, but I can tell you, that I will be doing more of water coloring...
1. We were supposed to create a Mail Art Envelope ( I made two - overachiever)
1st was done with watercolor cardstock and digital collaging techniques
Front
 Back
2nd was done in true (if such a thing exists) Mail Art techniques: background painted with Lindy's Stamp Gang magical; decoupage (napkins and die cuts from Prima "Santa Baby" collection); stickers and washi tape decoration
Front
 Back

2. We had to make a postcard

3. Of course, we had to include a card: I made layered window senary shabby card
4. Two shabby tags

5. Surprize... I made altered small rosette embellishments

Hope you liked my creations...

You are very welcome to watch the video below and/or visit my blog for more posts on each of these projects.
Have a great day,
Hugs & Kisses, Natasha

Tilda Loaded Christmas stocking

Hello my friends,
Today I would like to share with you my altered Dollar tree stocking a-la Tilda, a-la Loaded stocking
Ha-ha-ha!
Well, we have to keep up with craft fashion as well..
Basically this project was inspired by several crafters on YT and a desperate need to return the favor to a good friend before Christmas..
Well, nothing new there... I am always late, which makes me lagit Alice in Wonderland...
Oops, I am getting side tracked again... Haven't ate or drank anything suspicious... I think its all in my head..
Ok, going back to our project..
Well, I made a winter globe ornament and altered stocking in Tilda theme.. By printing several related images on fabric and attaching those here and there.. well check it out..

and now all wrapped and all..

And of course I recorded the process of altering the stocking , so you can see it for yourself..
Have a very Merry Christmas all!
XO-XO-XO, Natasha
