Shabby Christmas in July -Zig Clean Color Watercolor Postcard

Hello, my friends,
Today I am bringing you another project from my series of "Shabby Christmas in July"
This time its a postcard
1. I started with a base of 4 by 6 watercolored cardstock.
2. Printed out Digital design of several images Magnolia Tilda, Xmas trees and postcard stamp with the postage

3. Watercolored images using Zig Clean Color Watercolor Markers - love those markers. Be aware that these markers do not have many pastel shades in it and colors are bright.

4. I sprayed the background, covering main colored image with the Lindy's Gang sprays. Guess what... Should have left only one layer, but by adding the second layer it intensified colors and took away from my soft pastel look that I was going for... So less is more in this case... Or at list try it 1st on the sampler
So I had to come up with a solution on how to soften those bright colors... And I did...
I took a vallum frosted paper embossed it on the edges using the "Polka Dot" embossing folder, creating a look of falling snow and attached embossed layer on top of my watercolored postcard.
That softened by "bright mistake" right the way
Attaching vellum paper can be tricky, BCS it's somewhat transparent. So I used a washi tape
5. I decided that simple look of the frosted postcard isn't enough - so I decorated it further using snowflake stickers and die cut pieces from prima "Santa Baby" collection
Added some heart jingle bells on the mittens from NSK and now postcard had a finished look
Hope you liked my Shabby Chic Xmas postcard...
Stay tuned for more projects from this series...
 Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
