Tea Party Shaker Alarm Clock

Hello, hello there..
Today I am bringing to you my last project from Tea Party serious...
I was a true pleasure to create with this gorgeous DCWV paper collection "Tea Party".
Altered Alarm Clock project was on my TO DO list for a while, and even now I can't scratch it of the list, because it wasn't one of those dimensional miniatures, that I wanted to make...
Oh well, more stuff to do...
This huge alarm clock was a Hello Kitty clock from Target, pink and all... I couldn't even dare to apply mixed media to it... So I went with simple change of background, erasing Hello Kitty image and adding few Tea Party elements to it.... I think it came out so adorable and functional, because it is real alarm clock...
Keeping in mind now crafty fashion of shaker boxes, I added a shaker element into this clock...
Well, to see all details and see the process of assembling this item, please watch video below...
Mean while, here are few pictures of my project..

I used Prima pearl banner to frame tiny flags.... Came out so adorable....

Love the shaker box effect and adding those tiny candies, was such a unique find....

I mounted two Styrofoam cupcakes on both bells and it looks just so cute...

Now the box behind of this alarm clock is a special recycling project, that is also included in the video below...
Here are pictures of that box before....

And now after....

In all packaging and presentation of gifts is a special passion of mine...
I think that gift wrapping is as important as gift itself...
So of course I packaged everything nicely..

What a sweet way to end this wonderful Tea Party journey!
Warmest hugs and kisses to all. Hope you enjoyed following my projects as much as I loved creating those...

Tea Party Flip book

Hello my friends..
its me again with more Tea Party projects...
This time I would like to share a flip book...
I stumbled upon this neat technique of using manila file folders as a base, and I love how it creates flips and folds ( I love 3D or moving projects, so much more fun).
So I made few of those myself already....
This one is about Tea Party, and I love that thyme, so it was a pleasure to work on it..
Down below you will find speed up process video, if you want to get into details of this project.
So I used Manila folder for the base, scraps of papers (left from main project), some free printables & embellishments...
It looks like something exploded here, and that's how I love my projects to be - full of unexpected fun!
Front of the book was decorated with layers of cupcake holders, paper doily, printable cut outs and tucked in tulle and fabric flowers...

The closer was made with multiple ribbons & decorated with paper charm tassel ( which can be used in any other project, because it is a "clip on")
oops, picture turned side way, but it is a lolly pop on the cup cake wrapping sticking out of the book... Such a cute dimension to the appearance of this project.

Lets open it up... It looks "loaded" isn't it? But really it is not.. The secret of this appearance is usage of border/strip paper (see on the left under "You & Me"). Those multiple strips of different prints creates vision of layers... I didn't do it on purpose, but it sure came out interesting..
Creating a pocket and tucking in few printables with altered paper clips, just finished that side so nicely.
On the right side, because I had larger scraps of paper for background, I used see through elements/embellishments.
By opening the first folded page we are getting into world: here you can find usable things like tabs, journaling spots, cut out flowers and so much more...
Let flip another page..
Those two pages are truly about Tea Party with aroma real tea bag...
inside of the left flip page you can find more flips and turns with surprise goodies inside. Really it is only limited to your own imagination...
Ps... Have you notice that lolly pop? On the picture above, you can see what it was.. Yes, huge altered paper clip... How fun is that?
Adding shaker elements in now crafty world is MUST HAVE... So how about make one finished for the recipient? Nice gift as well.....
And journaling spot under another shaker window is the most fun idea ever....
Pair of tea cups.. It has a meaning - it is about TWO people, which makes this project so personal and special...
Gold embellishments are big hit this season as well, so how about gold doilies? Yes, please!!!!
And cascaded/waterfall element of vintage Tea Party images is essential and allowing us to close that chapter in style....
The back cover needs some love as well. I think sometimes we are ignoring it for no reason. Just a little something, makes the whole project...
Well, hope you liked my Tea Party Flip Book...
Give it a try - it is so much fun!
Tight hugs, XO-XO-XO, Natasha

Altered Ice Cream Container Pin Cushion & Vase. Tutorial.

Hello my darlings....
What a lovely day it is.... Sunshine, blue sky, low 60sss - sweater weather... Love it!
Alright, today I want to share one of the Tea Party series creations that went out to the lucky recipient, now I can say her name - Yorlis (who is Yorlis07 on YT).
So, how I came up with the idea of turning ice cream container into vase, on top of which is a pin cushion?
Well.....
I had few of these containers laying around.... And those are just a perfect size for storage of any craft supplies.
Altering those are the very nice way to make those match your existing craft storage...

It would have been too easy for me to saddle on something simple as that...
I had a challenge in front of me...
Yes this adorable Tea Party gift boxes on the sticks....
I want the recipient to enjoy those and display it right the way in her craft room... What if she doesn't have a vase? What if she doesn't to use one of her vases in the craft room?..
Well, that's exactly why I started to think of the idea of turning my ice cream container into something bigger and more functional then just altered storage...
I figured out how to create an opening in the middle of the lid big enough to put my Tea Party bouquet in it (watch the process video below)...
But just covering the difference between levels with the paper was not exceptable... It suddenly down on me that I can turn that usable space into pin cushion... Ta-Da! I was so happy to see how neat this project turning out... Must more important - it is multi functional... Love it!

Cute - cute! Woot-woot! Love it all!
Can't wait to see Yorlis reaction on that clever bucket of treasures....
Hope you enjoyed this project/idea and give it a try on your own!
Warmest hugs, XO-XO-XO!
